Middle school students are exploring future opportunities and can gain valuable knowledge by experiencing a variety of project options and STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) activities. Spaces that support college and career exploration would include infrastructure for digital and hands-on learning. Similar to the elementary school spaces, an abundance of storage, cleanable materials, and flexible furniture should be provided. Provide sinks and ample infrastructure for technology and presentation.

Physical Tools

Physical tools set up in the space (such as laser cutters, robotics, etc.) allow for a variety of creative learning methods.  Ample lockable storage should be provided.
